QAF #24 - There was a plan to list GBKL

As mentioned earlier, QAF is looking into various options to restructure GBKL (Gardenia Bakeries KL).

I am not able to find the news article, dated January 15, 2001, from Dow Jones, on the web anymore, but, when QAF Limited sold a 30% stake in GBKL to Bernas in 2001, there was a plan to list GBKL as seen from the following post in one of the public forums,

Hence, one of the options that the Board of QAF is currently considering, on how to restructure GBKL, is to list the unit on the KLSE. And, this would be a HUGE positive news for QAF.

QAF is currently trading at S$1.13, -S$0.055, or -4.64%. I am quite puzzled as to why this is happening; but, that doesn't bother me at all. :D :D :D
