QAF #29 - QAF's sudden surge to S$1.23

On Friday, June 19, 2015, QAF suddenly surged 12 cents to close at S$1.23. And, in the process, ALL the sellers were taken out!

Someone said at one forum that the surge in the price of QAF was due to Fund Managers re-balancing their portfolios because of "quadruple witching for Q2". BUT, this 'someone' NEVER said it, or took long positions on QAF to make money, BEFORE this event, i.e. QAF surging 12 cents to close at S$1.23, took place.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

There is a Chinese saying, “事后孔明”. That means to say, after an event has occurred, there will ALWAYS be people who would exclaimed that they "knew it" or claim that "I told you so".

Let me be very frank.

I have been holding QAF for 3 years or so (I do trade a little in between) and I have NEVER seen such a big move in the past 3 years. The most that I have seen was, maybe, QAF surging 6 cents.

And, even though I have never posted the chart of QAF on my blog, because someone had made an accusation that I had been encouraging people to buy QAF, so as to push up the share price of QAF for me to take profit, which was TOTALLY UNTRUE (I have NEVER advised people to Buy or Sell), but, once QAF traded passed S$1.09, I don't believe most retailers would dare to trade QAF anymore (but, I had been trading QAF at prices ABOVE S$1.09).

As you can see from the image attached, there was a VERY strong buying at S$1.09 (not done by me). S$1.09 was the high last seen in June/July 2013.

QAF is a HIGHLY IL-LIQUID stock. Why would a Fund Manager be interested to move QAF up by 12 cents simply because he or she needed to balance his or her portfolios? And, if he or she needed to buy so much of QAF (there was a balance of a Buy order at S$1.23 for 556,500 shares of QAF), why did the buying only started at around 16:30 hours (4:30pm) or in the last half hour of trading?

That, I can't understand at all.

????????

I guess we will only know the true reason of the buy up on Friday, June 19, 2015, if there is any announcement from QAF.

From what I can see, there is a possibility of Privatization for it would be illegal to clear ALL the sellers for any other reasons...that would be insider trading.

I do NOT wish to see QAF being privatized.
